Cultivation Technician

Position Overview The Cultivation Technician is a union position responsible for all stages of plant production including propagation, watering, pruning, trellising, defoliating, monitoring, and harvesting, and for completing tasks delegated by management. Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain plant health. Perform daily and routine plant maintenance tasks. Maintain environmental conditions for optimal plant growth. Sanitize and clean all cultivation spaces. Carry out all plant production activities from propagation through harvest. Ensure instrumentation and equipment are calibrated and functioning; perform regular preventive maintenance. Report equipment or instrument maintenance or repair needs to the manager or lead tech. Work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and overtime as required. Maintain punctuality, arriving on time for each shift and taking scheduled breaks. Assist in other departments or perform duties as assigned. Administrative Duties Analyze problems and develop solutions. Prioritize tasks. Operate effectively in a high‑paced, occasionally stressful environment. Use Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrate meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail. Interpret and follow complex written, verbal, and technical instructions. Adhere to company and facility SOPs. Learn complex technical procedures promptly. Qualifications Age 21 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and focus on detail. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Schedule Available to work Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm ET, with flexibility for mandatory overtime as required to meet business needs. Work Environment & Physical Demands Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining product integrity. Light to moderate lifting up to 50 lbs; heavier weights with assistance. Stand for extended periods. Perform repetitive motions and understand lab equipment. Wear company‑provided lab coats, hair/beard nets, gloves, surgical masks, and safety glasses/goggles/splash shield. Adhere to general hygiene requirements of the facility.
