Registered Nurse - Infusion

Job Description

Job Summary:
Providing specialized outpatient infusion nursing care, this role involves administering treatments to a diverse patient population within a busy infusion center. The RN will ensure safe and effective delivery of therapies while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer intravenous treatments, including chemotherapy and blood products, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Manage central line care, port access, and peripheral IV placement to ensure patient safety and procedural accuracy.
• Monitor patient responses during infusion therapies, promptly addressing any adverse reactions or complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient data, and procedural details in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Follow infection control protocols and hazardous drug handling procedures to ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent infusion experience within a specialty setting.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Experience with chemotherapy administration, central line management, and peripheral IV placement.
• Knowledge of infusion equipment, including Plum IV Pumps and CADD Pumps.
• Skilled in patient assessment, clinical documentation, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Preferred ONS certification and experience with Cerner electronic health records.
