Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics Center is looking for a Dental Assistant in Midland Park, New Jersey to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Responsibilities Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures. Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models. Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed). Assist dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and an emergency telephone directory. Qualifications 2 years on-the-job experience X-Ray certification – Required Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended High school diploma or equivalent Additional expectations: Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
