WRITER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create a variety of original educational content for grades ranging from kindergarten to high school Generate effective multiple-choice, open-ended, and essay questions to assess specific educational standards Write procedural materials, such as activity instructions, that adhere to technical writing best practices Create engaging texts, both fiction and nonfiction, with interesting subjects and appropriate tones Locate and research sources to provide accurate and informative material Ensure readability of texts is appropriate for target audiences by using industry standard readability tests Follow specifications in work orders from project managers Communicate effectively with graphic artists, project managers, subject matter experts, and editors to ensure published projects exceed customers' expectations Consistently meet production goals

QUALIFICATIONS:
