Role Description The Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing menu items with a focus on steaks and seafood in a high-volume kitchen. Day-to-day tasks include organizing workstation setups, overseeing food preparation and cooking, monitoring quality and presentation, and ensuring dishes are served according to restaurant standards. The role involves managing inventory, assisting with ordering and storage, maintaining cleanliness and food safety compliance, and collaborating with the kitchen team to coordinate service. The Chef may also contribute to menu development, daily specials, and training junior kitchen staff. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Cocoa Beach, FL. Qualifications Strong culinary skills in steak and seafood preparation, including grilling, searing, and proper seasoning techniques. Knowledge of kitchen operations, including line management, food prep workflows, and service timing. Demonstrated ability to maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations. Experience in menu execution, plating, and presentation that aligns with restaurant standards. Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with cooks, servers, and management. Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Prior experience as a chef, sous chef, or lead cook in a restaurant setting; steakhouse or seafood experience preferred.
