Work Environment

The role of the PTA will take place onsite in our modern hospital facility in Yorktown, Virginia. Our workspace is designed to promote collaboration, with easy access to treatment rooms and rehabilitation equipment. You will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, focused on providing the highest level of patient care while ensuring a positive atmosphere for both staff and patients. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Implementing individualized treatment plans created by the supervising Physical Therapist to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, engaging in manual therapy techniques, and providing functional training to promote and accelerate recovery.
• Utilizing various modalities, such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy, exactly as instructed by the Physical Therapist to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
• Regularly monitoring patients' progress and effectively documenting their responses to therapy in accordance with clinic policies and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborating with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare professionals to modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
• Instructing patients on home exercise programs and providing education on injury prevention strategies to ensure sustained recovery outside of clinic visits.
• Maintaining precise and timely documentation practices to uphold compliance with both clinical standards and patient privacy regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including those with musculoskeletal injuries and postoperative rehabilitation needs. You will work with a diverse clientele that ranges from active athletes to older adults, each presenting unique challenges and rehabilitation goals. This role requires a strong commitment to providing empathetic and effective support, fostering a healing environment for all patients.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or equivalent.

Preferred Experience

While we require at least two years of relevant experience, candidates with a background in orthopedic outpatient or rehabilitation settings will be preferred. Familiarity with treatment protocols for common orthopedic conditions will be highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

PhysioSpace LLC offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
