Part Time Austin, TX, US POSITION SUMMARY: To help Wheatsville be the Friendliest Store in Town through excellent, friendly and upbeat customer service. Prepare and serve a variety of food products, maintain a clean and organize deli counter area and complete all shift duties. ALL STAFF EXPECTATIONS: See first page of binder POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and serve menu items according to portion guidelines Work efficiently to handle heavy rushes Ensure that all product is in sellable condition and meets quality standards Ensure that all deli cases are stocked and merchandised nicely (bakery, full serve, self-serve) Maintain deli and food storage areas in sanitary, orderly condition, meeting Health Department standards Comply with Health Department Regulations including head covering, proper dress, drinks and hand washing Assist in maintaining customer areas Other tasks as assigned by management ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task Balance friendliness with efficiency, and maintain focus Great communication skills and receptive to feedback Food Handler’s Certification required DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Experience or interest in natural foods and cooperatives PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs. and environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezers etc.) *Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibility’s that are required of the employee for this job* #J-18808-Ljbffr Wheatsville Co-op
