Meat Cutter

Role Overview: The Meat Cutter handles meat products, including receiving, processing, cutting, trimming, packaging, weighing, pricing, and labeling. They provide attentive and courteous customer service and maintain food safety and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities Process and prepare meat in compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards. Maintain cleanliness and proper temperatures in work areas and storage units. Ensure adequate stock levels, proper case conditions, and product rotation. Support sales goals by promoting friendly customer interactions. Minimize shrinkage through proper handling and storage. Assist other stores as needed and lead subordinates toward goal achievement. Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of various meat cuts and preparation techniques. Basic math, reading, and writing skills; accurate vision. Physical ability to lift loads up to 100 lb, stand, walk, and operate machinery and tools such as knives, scales, band saws, and wrapping machines. Experience with meat preparation preferred; 0-2 years for retail meat prep experience. Additional Details The role requires initiative, productivity, safety awareness, and adherence to company values.
