Ward & Burke Tunneling Inc is currently in search of a Fabricator to join our y ard team based in Georgetown, Texas .

Looking for someone willing to be versatile and make many different things from pipe, beam and plate. All welding supplies will be supplied, as well as the welder and all other machines. We have an air-conditioned shop with a brand-new plasma table and are looking to continue fabrication in-house. We work 7am-6pm Monday through Friday with the occasional Saturday work options. We also require on-site services on various different sites in Central Texas occasionally. 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Actively engage in safety of self and others at the facility, including holding workers and contractors responsible for best-in-class safety.
• Produce a quality product with attention to detail.
• Ensure orders maintain internal schedule to keep pace & to be on time for contracts.
• Follow directions from manager and functional lead to complete daily tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities as needed.

• Key Objectives
• Take-off of shop drawings for fabrication
• Cutting & welding of materials
• Assembly of cut materials and hardware into finished products.
• Check material against orders and visually inspect incoming materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications
You have: (required)

• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Competent in reading and interpreting blueprint & shop drawings
• Competent at Mig & stick welding (pipe and structural certs are a plus, but not essential)
• Competent in operation of & maintenance of a CNC Plasma table
• Competent in operation of oxy-acetylene torch
• Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to use power tools including electrical, hydraulic and air powered industrial machines.
• 5 or more years of Fabrication or Construction experience
• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
