Description: Must be willing to float to 8 different units. Responsible for cardiac monitoring and administering cardiac drips. Must be proficient in interpreting telemetry strips at regular intervals. Float throughout the hospital to various medical/surgical telemetry areas. Clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 at night. Care for patients in need of acute medical attention, including those from the ED and medication management for mental health. Bed count is 371 across units, with census ranging from 8 to 41 beds. Rotation includes daytime and evening shifts with possible rotations to night shifts. Utilize an electronic medical record charting system.
