Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

SHIFT DETAILS:Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:30pmPay Rate-$31.35Benefits available Day OneOn the job trainingPRIMARY FUNCTION: The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative, maintenance, and repairs of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts machinery as necessary to ensure machines are in optimal working conditionIdentify root cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines; repair quickly and efficiently to decrease downtime for machineRecord and report damaged, worn, or broken parts, ordering and installing replacement parts for machines as neededPrepare reports documenting work performed.Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies as neededCoordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.Collaborate with department heads regarding new products being added and modifications that will be requiredMake necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as requiredIdentify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementationWear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culturePerform additional relevant duties as assignedSUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:None. This is an individual contributor role with required competencies: Functional/Technical Skills, Action Oriented, Problem Solving, Learning on the Fly, and Interpersonal SavvyEDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:High School diploma or equivalentVocational certificate in appropriate field (i.e. welding, maintenance, electrical, etc.) preferredAbility to take and pass internal required testingEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Mechanically inclined with relevant experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and understand schematics, blueprints, etc. to diagnose problems with manufacturing equipmentGood computer literacy with ability to enter work records in appropriate programMust have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner; multi-lingual strongly preferredAbility to handle and resolve most issues in an efficient and effective mannerExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, planning skills, and a high attention to detailMust possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgencySAFETY REQUIREMENTS:Follow departmental and company safety policies and programsWear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatoryPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work extended shifts (holiday, weekend and/or extended) as business need requiresAbility to work in cold/ humid or hot/ dusty environments as neededProlonged periods of standing, walking, crawling, stooping, kneeling, etc. with ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machineryMust be able to visually inspect machinesMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 poundsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
