Contract: 13 weeks

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join an Operating Room team. The Surgical Tech will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support safe, efficient patient care throughout the intraoperative period.

Responsibilities:

• Function as a first, second, or assisting Surgical Technologist.
• Maintain strict sterile and aseptic technique during procedures.
• Independently scrub basic surgical procedures.
• Assist with OR setup, room turnover, supplies, and equipment.
• Provide appropriate care for obstetrical patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Perform and document sterilization and disinfection procedures.
• Clean and maintain surgical equipment and report items requiring repair.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Work effectively as part of the perioperative team.
• Apply problem-solving skills during surgical procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience
• Ability to independently scrub basic surgical procedures
• Knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative practices
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology
• Familiarity with computers, robotics, lasers, electricity, and chemistry
• Strong patient-care and teamwork skills

Education:

• Associate Degree in Surgical Technology OR
• Certificate of completion from a Surgical Technology program

Required Certifications:

• BLS – American Heart Association
