Occupational Therapist

Job Position: Occupational Therapist Location: Madison Heights, MI 48071 Pay Rate: Starting rate $45.00/hr Description: Are you passionate about helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in the educational environment? We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time, In-Person Occupational Therapist to provide services within a supportive school setting. The caseload is35-40 students, up to 8th grade. What you'll need: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Active MI Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)

Experience working in a school setting preferred

Strong understanding of special education services, IEP processes, and goal development

Ability to conduct evaluations, interpret assessment results, and develop individualized treatment plans

Excellent communication, documentation, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key responsibilities: Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' functional and educational needs

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students

Support students in developing fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills necessary for participation in school activities

Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to support student success

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development, accommodations, and progress monitoring

Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and intervention strategies

Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records in accordance with district and state requirements
