The healthcare professional specializing in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) located in Utica, New York, provides critical patient care within a specialized unit that manages neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions such as COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative cases. The role involves working during night shifts with rotating floating responsibilities, contributing to patient recovery and stabilization in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Utica, NY
• Schedule: Nights; 6:30 PM 7:00 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: NY RN license, active licenses verification, current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; up-to-date resume demonstrating at least 2 years of experience in Intermediate Care Unit or Progressive Care Unit; valid drivers license matching current address; proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system EPIC; ability to work within a 75-mile radius; documentation of travel experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specialty equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit primarily handles neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory cases, requiring versatility and clinical expertise in managing complex patient conditions in a nerve and cardiovascular stepdown setting.
