QA/QC Commissioning Associate III

The QA/QC Commissioning Associate III supports quality assurance and quality control for data center critical systems as they prepare for commissioning. Working with the QA/QC Engineer, you will help verify that purchased equipment meets project requirements and that installations comply with industry standards and equipment specifications. The role combines on-site inspections, testing, documentation, and coordination with project teams, contractors, and suppliers, while developing the knowledge and skills needed for increasingly complex commissioning tasks. This position supports projects at various U.S. locations and requires 75%–80% travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QA/QC Engineer in verifying equipment, materials, and installations against project specifications, industry standards, and applicable federal and state requirements.
• Perform inspections and support testing throughout project stages, following inspection and test plans, checklists, approved procedures, and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain project QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, certificates, calibration records, test results, inspection requests, non-conformance reports, site observations, and material delivery records.
• Coordinate with project teams to support inspection schedules, testing activities, and quality audits.
• Work with employees, contractors, and suppliers to communicate quality requirements and promote compliance with quality manuals and procedures.
• Review test data and project records, identify deviations from standards, prepare performance reports, and communicate quality or compliance concerns promptly.
• Recommend corrective actions and improvements to quality control procedures and work methods, and support implementation of improved processes.
• Follow activity method statements, risk assessments, job safety and environmental analyses, and project-specific inspection requirements.
• Coordinate material submittals with the Technical Engineer for consultant review.
• Maintain calibration of quality testing equipment and support equipment lifting and proper storage of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to travel 75%–80% to project locations across the United States.
• Inspection and/or production experience; target is 5–9 years.
• Experience writing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Solid understanding of test equipment and software, along with basic knowledge of systems design.
• Working knowledge of mathematical concepts, including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to analyze and interpret information, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, and Microsoft Project; advanced Excel skills are preferred.
• Technical military occupational specialty (MOS) training, trade school education, and/or a degree are desired.
• Experience, education, or internships involving complex facilities or mission-critical projects are preferred.
• Civilian or military technical certifications are a plus.
