Registered Nurse - Trauma ICU

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12, Nights

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Trauma ICU is responsible for providing optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. This position requires accountability for individualized patient outcomes over the entire episode of care, ensuring comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a variety of patients with trauma and surgical needs.
• Monitor vital signs and administer medications, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Provide education and support to patients and families during their care journey.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Maintain a high level of clinical excellence and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of Trauma ICU experience is required.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX).
• CCRN certification is strongly preferred but not required.
