As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for accurately picking, checking, packing, sending, and receiving merchandise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. At SSF, we believe that every individual contributes uniquely to our success.Benefits of joining our team include up to 19 days of accrued paid time off annually, 8 paid holidays, a 401(k) match up to 4%, access to medical/dental/vision insurance starting on the 1st of the month, a flexible spending account, access to our Employee Assistance program, employer-paid Basic Life Insurance and AD&D coverage, and $1000 for each employee you refer who stays for 6 months of employment.Essential job functions include verifying assignment with the manager or department lead each morning, handling all products to avoid injury to self and/or damage to the product, and other tasks as assigned.Shipping tasks include pulling all assigned parts accurately and efficiently, reading all pick-pack messages for special instructions, verifying the order, inspecting product for damage as needed, packing orders tightly and safely using best practices, updating, reprinting, and dispatching route manifests, ensuring drivers depart on time and providing ETAs as requested, processing common carrier shipments according to pick/pack instructions, and ensuring all packages are picked up by the carriers.Receiving tasks include checking in stock transfers by specified in-stock date, receiving domestic and foreign vendor shipments, labeling parts and completing discrepancy paperwork as needed, completing receiving log, and scanning in check paperwork to Inventory Control.Put Away tasks include stocking assigned put away carts and pallets accurately and efficiently, researching any discrepancies, building put-away carts as needed, and advising bin maintenance of any parts that do not fit into assigned locations.Bin Maintenance tasks include assigning new items to bin locations using product and bin profiling, completing warehouse maintenance, stock checks, and clean-up reports, and researching missing merchandise using audit trail, put away data, and physical searches.Returns tasks include processing customer returns, including customer cancels and refused shipments, processing vendor returns, including cores, warranties, and defectives, and understanding the automatic core RA process and applying cores to COD orders.Warehouse Associate requirements include willingness to work overtime or hours other than those normally scheduled, adherence to SSF Employee Handbook, guidelines, policies, and procedures, maintaining a professional attitude at all times, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, understanding and adhering to all safety guidelines, and being eligible to work in the United States.Preferred experience includes 1 year of warehouse experience and 1 year of RF Scanner experience. In addition to the above, a Warehouse Associate will also be expected to pick and pull auto parts, lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb ladders, and push carts for the duration of the shift, read part labels written in English, and navigate stairs (some locations).Setting up remote interviews.
