Lead Toddler Teacher

Dedicated and nurturing early childhood educator with a strong passion for fostering the growth and development of young learners. • Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Studies, or a related field (preferred)
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a commitment to ongoing education toward a Bachelor’s Degree (required minimum)

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a licensed child care or preschool setting

• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer literacy
• High energy and a positive attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and families to foster a team-oriented environment
• Strong leadership , organizational , and interpersonal skills

Clearances and Screenings:

• Must pass a comprehensive background check
• Must successfully complete a health screening as required by state licensing

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to take frequent walks, interact at children's eye level, and physically engage in classroom and outdoor activities
