About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 5 years of Trauma Level I experience required License: Must have current license prior to start date Certifications: Required certifications include CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA in hand to submit Must-Have: Trauma Level I experience required BLS Certification required Ability to work flexible hours Description: The daily average surgical case volume is approximately 65. There are a total of 35 rooms available for surgical procedures. The average daily tray volume is 393. The facility specializes in total joints, neuro spine, neuro cranial procedures, open heart surgeries, lung and heart transplants, DaVinci robotic surgeries, plastics, and ENT procedures. Candidates should possess skills in various surgical and sterilization processes. Experience with biological indicators, cleaning and sterilization of equipment, and proper selection of wrapping materials is essential. The technician will be responsible for assembling sets and trays, high-level disinfection, and monitoring sterilization testing. Floating within the facility or to nearby affiliate locations is a requirement. Travel experience is necessary. The role requires adherence to strict infection control procedures and safety standards.
