CORRECTIONAL OFFICER LIEUTENANT

Correctional Officer Lieutenant - 70039944 The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Correctional Officer Lieutenant for an internal promotional opportunity. This position is located at the Northwest Florida Reception Center in Chipley, Florida. Only current FDC employees will be considered. The salary is $59,623.72 (minimum annually). Minimum qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, possessing a high school diploma or equivalent, completing the basic recruit training course for correctional officers, and having one year of experience as a certified officer with the State of Florida. Additionally, candidates must not have received a suspension within the past 12 months, an involuntary demotion within the past 24 months, or a rating less than 3.00 on a performance evaluation within the past three fiscal years. Specific duties and responsibilities include supervising correctional officers and sergeants, planning and coordinating activities, conducting performance evaluations, managing inmate housing areas, enforcing rules and sanitation standards, and providing emergency assistance during emergencies, disasters, and accidents.
