About the Role:

The Retail Sales Associate plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to customers by providing knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient service. This position is responsible for engaging with customers to understand their needs, offering product recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. The associate will maintain the presentation and organization of the sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing. Additionally, the role involves processing transactions accurately and handling customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism. Ultimately, the Retail Sales Associate contributes to achieving store sales goals and fostering a positive brand reputation within the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and cash handling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a retail environment related to the store’s product offerings.
• Familiarity with inventory management and stock replenishment processes.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult customer situations.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously, identifying their needs and providing appropriate product information.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards of the sales floor and displays.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash, credit, and returns.
• Respond to customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members and management to meet or exceed store sales targets and operational goals.

Skills:

Hours for evening shift are from 4:00- pm to 12:30 am. The position is full time (35+ hours a week) and requires full availibity to work both week days and weekends.
