CVICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Nights, from 19:00 to 07:00.

The CVICU Registered Nurse holds accountability for providing care to Cardiovascular Intensive Care patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to CVICU patients.
• Utilize the Nursing Process effectively.
• Demonstrate leadership and critical thinking skills.
• Maintain clinical competencies.
• Delegate patient care priorities appropriately.
• Supervise and direct nursing personnel providing patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVICU nursing.
• Prior travel experience preferred.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Must comply with all facility and state licensure regulations.
