Student Assistant, Pathology Education

Job Summary Provide varied administrative and operational tasks, handling clerical duties such as filing, data entry, mail handling, and providing support for events while maintaining facilities, all while balancing academics and working a set number of hours. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Job Duties Work on gathering autopsy data from Epic Beaker for COVID-19 research. Conduct literature and database research as needed for the research. Attend all scheduled meetings (except for excused absences) and participate in activities that include individual development planning and writing assignments. Perform computational/data-based work under the direction of responsible faculty. Adhere to all policies and regulations of UTMB. Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure. Perform related duties as required to fulfill personal academic requirements. Working Environment and Equipment Classroom, library, computer facility, laboratory and/or clinical environments. May be exposed to occupational hazards found in a biomedical research facility or clinical environment such as communicable diseases, blood‑borne pathogens, ionizing and non‑ionizing radiation, hazardous medications, and disoriented or combative patients or others. Salary Range Commensurate with experience.
