Our client is seeking a 2-3 month Contract IT Support Specialist (full time or part time) to provide hands-on technology support while helping ensure the organization’s computers, devices, and other technology equipment are deployed, supported, and accurately accounted for.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, working directly with people, and bringing organization to technology assets. The role will balance day-to-day help desk support with a focused project to create and maintain an accurate physical inventory of technology equipment.

What You’ll Do
Hardware Deployment & Setup
•    Deploy, configure, and set up computers, monitors, peripherals, and other technology equipment.
•    Prepare hardware for new and existing users.
•    Assist with moving, installing, replacing, and troubleshooting technology equipment.
•    Ensure equipment is properly labeled, documented, and assigned.
Help Desk & User Support
•    Provide responsive first-level technical support to employees.
•    Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and basic user-access issues.
•    Respond to help desk requests and provide clear, friendly assistance to users with varying levels of technical experience.
•    Escalate more complex technical issues when appropriate.
•    Help users get the technology they need to perform their jobs effectively.
Technology Inventory Project
•    Conduct a physical inventory of computers, monitors, tablets, phones, printers, networking equipment, and other technology assets.
•    Identify, label, document, and reconcile technology equipment throughout the organization.
•    Record asset information such as make, model, serial number, asset tag, location, and assigned user.
•    Compare physical equipment against existing records and identify discrepancies.
•    Help establish an accurate and organized technology asset inventory that can be maintained going forward.

What We’re Looking For
•    Previous experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar hands-on technology role.
•    Comfortable setting up, deploying, troubleshooting, and moving computer equipment.
•    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•    Organized and detail-oriented, particularly when working with inventory and asset records.
•    Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
•    Strong customer-service skills and the ability to communicate technical information in a straightforward, approachable way.
•    Comfortable working directly with employees and visiting different work areas to provide support.
•    Basic knowledge of Windows computers, peripherals, networking, printers, and common business applications.
•    Ability to lift and move technology equipment as needed.
•    Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.  Must be willing to travel to Bend or Redmond for work.
