Lab Associate II - Phlebotomist

Schedule Part Time. Monday and Friday, rotating weekends. Evenings, 3pm-11:30pm. Overview Lab Associate – Phlebotomist position in Phlebotomy Laboratory. The role includes performing specimen collection, specimen handling, and clerical duties. Experienced in phlebotomy and proficient in additional tasks such as central processing duties, in-office phlebotomy, or inventory management. Responsibilities Interpret physician orders and order tests in appropriate system. Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and patient interaction, ensuring proper collection and specimen integrity. May work in outpatient lab, in physician office, or off campus patient service center. Sort and process specimens received by the laboratory and handle all specimens received with proficiency. Coordinate simultaneous tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuations in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. May perform registration, inventory maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: No experience required. Supervisor Experience: No experience required. Preferred Requirements Education: Associate's Degree. Experience: 2–5 years. Supervisor Experience: 2 years. Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS). Phlebotomy. This position is not benefits eligible.
