Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues collaboratively with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
• Guiding patients and their families through wellness, preventive care, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies as per your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care
• Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, holistic care delivery
• Meticulously documenting patient interactions within electronic medical record systems (EMR)

Education Standards

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Utah
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or the capability to obtain these within 90 days
