Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 2 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New Hampshire license or compact license (required for submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Prolucent Health Program - Dartmouth Hitchcock and no current placement allowed at Program: Prolucent Health Program - Dartmouth Hitchcock.

Additional Details:

RNs Only: Recent experience at a level 1 trauma center is required.

You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you applied for day shift, you can apply for night shift on the same unit & facility, but you cannot apply for day shift at the same unit & facility.

Required skills/experience: Must have telemetry experience. Travelers need to have experience on a fast pace medical surgical unit preferably with Level I Trauma center experience but serval years at a Level II Trauma center is acceptable. Must have a minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience.

• Chest tubes
• Tubes
• Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
• Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
• Trachs/Laryngectomies
• Complex wounds
• Central Lines- care and maintenance and blood draws

Unit and facility details: 36 bed adult surgical unit that cares primarily for trauma patients and acute care surgical patients. This unit does have 2 negative pressure rooms that can serve our COVID population.

7 days maximum time off
