Guaranteed hours: 36 per week | Shift: 5x8 Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) | Setting: Critical Access Hospital, travel assignment

- Work setting: LTAC within a critical access hospital environment
- Travel assignment with dedicated recruitment and assignment coordination Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including modalities, manual techniques, and common exercise techniques
- Instruct patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance training
- Observe patient responses and follow treatment precautions; communicate changes to the supervising PT and nursing staff
- Document daily interventions and services in patient charts; complete outpatient documentation as appropriate
- Educate patients and caregivers, tailoring instructions to learning preferences; assess education effectiveness
- Support and mentor staff on technical skills as directed by the supervising clinicians Requirements
- Licensure: Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice (CA) is required
- Certifications: CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s/Technical Degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Experience: Two years’ physical therapy or technical experience preferred
- Licensure/setting: Ability to work in an LTAC/hospital setting under supervision of licensed clinicians Benefits and Support
