Cristek Interconnects, LLC, a Qnnect company, is headquartered in Anaheim, CA, with divisions in Minden, NV and North Billerica, MA. The company specializes in contract build-to-print cable and harness assemblies for military products and is a preferred supplier to several major military and aerospace prime contractors.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Working as part of the Quality Assurance team, the Quality Inspector will ensure that cable and harness assemblies meet quality standards, industry regulations, customer specifications, IPC‑620, J‑STD, and Cristek Best Practices. The role reports to the Quality Manager and involves inspecting materials, components, in‑process and finished products, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with quality control procedures. The Quality Inspector collaborates with Production, Sales and Engineering teams to maintain product integrity and improve processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and comprehend, in English, the customer drawings, parts list, wire list, processes, specifications, and assembly routers to prepare for inspection. Inspection: Conduct in‑process, pre‑mold, and final inspection on electronic cable and harness assemblies in accordance with Cristek, customer and industry standard quality specifications. Use magnifier lamps and microscopes to assist with inspection requirements. Measure the cable assembly using calipers, tape measures, rulers, protractors, etc., and verify and record compliance with documentation. Perform 100% inspection on every cable assembly. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to forwarding to the next department. Complete Final Inspection Data Sheet for every cable assembly. Perform receiving inspection on vendor purchased material as required. First Article Inspection (FAI): Conduct initial inspections on new products to ensure they meet customer drawing, parts list, and specifications. Troubleshooting & Recommendations: Identify and report recurring quality issues and collaborate with Sales, Engineers and Production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized inspection area.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications in quality control or IPC standards are a plus). J‑STD certification is required. IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 certification is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS / WORKING CONDITIONS

Minimum 3 years experience in electrical cable and wire harness inspection, manufacturing, or quality assurance. Position requires access to hardware subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons. Fluent in reading, writing and speaking/understanding English. Must pass visual acuity requirements (color, depth perception and field of vision). Must be able to work under a microscope for inspection purposes. Must pass manual dexterity requirements (handling small parts effectively). Must be able to read and use measuring devices (ruler, tape measure, caliper, etc.). Strong understanding of IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 and J‑STD standards. Perform a number of complex, sometimes repetitive, electro‑mechanical assembly inspections of wire harness parts, components and subassemblies. Must possess sufficient hand and upper body strength to route cable bundles of various sizes, lengths and weights. Must demonstrate technical literacy in reading wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, parts lists and blueprints. Must sit for sustained periods of time (3–4 hours at a time). Must follow strong safety standards. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Must work as part of a team. Basic computer skills for documentation and report generation.
