The Peaceful Perspective Life Coaching Center is seeking a passionate and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dedicated mental health team. In this full-time remote capacity, you will be instrumental in enhancing the mental wellbeing of individuals, couples, and families in Baldwin, New York, and the surrounding communities. Your role will involve not only therapeutic intervention but also collaboration with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our clients.

Work Environment\n

As a remote therapist, you will have the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while still being a part of an engaging and supportive team. Although your primary work will be conducted from home, our outpatient office in Baldwin serves as a collaborative hub for team meetings, training, and professional development. You will have access to modern telehealth technology ensuring effective communication and client management.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct detailed initial assessments to understand clients' concerns, strengths, and therapy goals, allowing for the customization of treatment plans.

  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions, couples therapy, and family sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities tailored to client needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

  • Engage in regular case consults with fellow mental health professionals—such as psychologists and psychiatrists—to align on treatment strategies and share insights on client progress.
  • \n
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient records including progress notes and therapy outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • \n
  • Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development initiatives to refine skills and stay abreast of advancements in the field of marriage and family therapy.

  • Foster open communication with clients, families, and stakeholders while adhering to ethical guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients including individuals facing relationship challenges, families experiencing conflicts, and those seeking to understand and overcome past traumas. Our approach is holistic, emphasizing the importance of family dynamics and interpersonal relationships as pivotal factors in mental health. We are dedicated to promoting recovery and growth tailored to each client's context, culture, and experiences.

Qualifications\n

  • A master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • A valid LMFT license to practice in New York.
  • \n
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience, particularly in the realms of marriage, family therapy, and substance abuse counseling.

  • Strong understanding of solution-focused therapy techniques and evidence-based interventions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy, active listening, and problem-solving.

Compensation and Benefits\n

  • Attractive annual salary in the range of USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
