SolidWorks Designer (Aerospace)

Now Hiring: SolidWorks Designer Location: Columbia, MD (On-Site); Pay Rate: $30.00 - $37.00/hour; Schedule: Monday - Friday Are you an experienced CAD Designer looking to work on innovative engineering projects? Join a respected team where your SolidWorks expertise will play a key role in creating detailed mechanical designs, production drawings, and 3D models that support real-world manufacturing and engineering solutions. Education Requirements Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred Experience Requirements Experience using SolidWorks and/or CREO for 3D modeling and drafting Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints Understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and technical documentation Experience working with ANSI and MIL-STD standards is a plus Job Duties Create detailed 3D CAD models from engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications Develop accurate 2D production, fabrication, and assembly drawings Update and revise existing engineering documentation based on design changes Ensure drawings and models meet quality, tolerance, and company standards Collaborate with engineers to support product development and solve design challenges Maintain organized design files and technical documentation Support engineering teams with drafting and design-related projects Physical Capabilities Ability to sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods Ability to view detailed technical drawings and design models Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr Pro Staff
