Appeals Coordinator/Paralegal

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity , offering the potential for long-term placement based on performance and business needs. The role supports the Appeals Services team in managing and executing the appeals process before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board (PRRB). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft appeal documents and prepare responses to case filings
• File documents through the PRRB electronic filing system
• Maintain and update data within the appeals management system
• Process and track communications from the Review Board and involved parties
• Organize and maintain appeal documentation and case files
• Review and edit appeal submissions for accuracy and completeness
• Analyze case documents and procedural histories
• Provide administrative and operational support to appeals consultants

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in a law firm environment as a paralegal or similar role, or an associate degree in paralegal studies
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
• Experience with healthcare reimbursement or regulatory matters
