ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a challenging and rewarding position. This role involves providing high-quality care in a 29-bed general ICU within a Level 2 trauma center.Unit SpecificsNumber of Beds: 29Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2 (occasionally 1:3 for patients ready to leave ICU)Unit Staffing: No CNAs, one telemetry technicianType of Equipment: Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, Primaflex CRRT, Cardiohelp ECMODocumentation System: MeditechProcedures Performed: Intubations, central line placements, bronchoscopy, bedside tracheostomy, and PEG tube placementsWork ScheduleLength of Contract: 13 weeksShift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each with every other weekend requiredFloating Policy: Travelers float first to ED or step down unitPatient Experience RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have advanced skills in vent management, ABG interpretation, vasoactive drip titration, and hemodynamic monitoring.CertificationsRequired: RN License, ACLS, BLSPreferred: TNCC, NIH, ABLSDress CodeUniform required: Navy blue scrubsAdditional InformationThis position provides an excellent opportunity to be a part of a heart program with approximately 200 cases per year, along with exposure to CRRT, Impella, IABP, and ECMO treatments. The average years of experience among the ICU staff is 12, ensuring a supportive and knowledgeable working environment.
