Mental Health Therapist

Unity Counseling, LLC is expanding into a new office in Kentwood and is currently hiring licensed therapists for several W-2 positions. We are seeking diverse, committed professionals to meet the increasing mental health needs of our community. Applicants must have an accredited degree in Professional Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology and current Michigan licensure as an LPC, LMSW, LMFT, or LP. We are currently looking for a variety of specialties and professional interests, including:Working with childrenWorking with adultsCouples and familiesEMDR or BrainspottingADHD assessmentsMultilingualEating disordersCertified sex therapistOCDResponsibilities:Provide mental health therapy to clients within the scope of training/experienceAdhere to legal and ethical guidelines of the profession as well as to best practice documentation and billing requirementsDevelop a rapport with clients to facilitate a healthy therapeutic relationshipRespond to client crises as necessary and make recommendations to keep the client safe and ensure all company safety measures are followedProvide limited case management services as necessary and/or communicate with other healthcare providers involved to advocate for other services as neededDemonstrate self-motivated attitude and ability to perform responsibilities of the position with limited supervisionMaintain regular and open communication with other members of the teamQualifications:State licensure that is current, unrestricted, and in good standingExceptional interpersonal and communication skills are neededA minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working as a mental health therapist
