Production Supervisor (1st & 2nd Shifts)

Production Supervisor (1st & 2nd Shifts) STS Technical Services is hiring Production Supervisors in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for first- and second-shift manufacturing operations. This hands-on leadership role is built for experienced manufacturing professionals who can lead teams, support production needs across the shop floor and step into different areas as required. The Production Supervisor will help keep work moving safely, accurately and on schedule while supporting employees throughout the manufacturing process. Position Overview The Production Supervisor leads shop floor teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires a broad manufacturing background, strong leadership skills and the ability to work directly alongside production employees. The role is fully shop-floor based and is not a desk position. Shift Availability First Shift Second Shift Responsibilities Lead teams throughout the manufacturing facility Lead by example on the shop floor Assist with production tasks as needed to complete assignments Train and motivate employees to meet production requirements and schedules Step into different production roles as needed Test products and equipment for defects or malfunctions Promote a culture of safety and accountability Communicate process and procedure changes to employees Support production priorities as schedules change Help ensure work is completed accurately and according to specifications Qualifications At least four years of manufacturing experience working on the shop floor At least two years of leadership experience Experience leading and motivating shop floor employees Broad general manufacturing experience Ability to measure, compare and perform shop calculations Ability to verify products against engineering or sales specifications Experience using common shop tools and equipment Experience with sanders Experience with drills Experience with air and electric hand cutting tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints Crane operation experience Rigging experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience working with steel and/or aluminum Ability to adapt to changing production schedules Strong attention to detail Ability to work throughout the production floor for the entire shift Willingness to remain hands-on and support production activities as needed About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with leading aerospace, manufacturing, defense and industrial organizations across the United States.
