Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Associate will assist in all shipping and receiving functions at our facility, ensuring smooth operations between the two sites via box truck. This role involves accepting and signing for deliveries, loading and unloading shipments, and utilizing a barcode system for order processing. Additionally, the associate will transport raw materials and finished goods between sites, manage inventory, and perform packing and labeling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Accept and sign for deliveries from vendors.
• Load and unload shipments from delivery trucks.
• Use barcode systems to pick orders for delivery.
• Transport raw materials and finished goods between facilities via box truck.
• Move waste from warehouse to dumpster.
• Pull orders and prepare shipping samples using pick tickets.
• Down-pack chemicals from large totes to smaller containers as per customer specifications.
• Use dollies, forklifts, and other mobile equipment.
• Handle overseas shipping, including HAZMAT and corrosive material shipping techniques.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years of relevant shipping related experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with material handling and inventory control.
• Forklift operation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift certification obtained in the last year.
• Familiarity with bar code scanners.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
