Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required. License: Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand. Certifications: American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required. Must-Have: Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start. One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for submission. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments must be completed and passed during orientation. Description: All requirements listed in the job description are non-negotiable. This position involves working the night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week. A minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry is required. Candidates must hold a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license at the time of submission. Only one reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required to qualify for submission. Co-worker references will not be considered. References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. Required certifications need to be active and in hand at the time of submission; no pending certifications will be accepted. Candidates must comply with nicotine-free facility requirements, unless exempt. A negative 10 panel drug screen, including Nicotine (Cotinine), is required within the last 12 months. Background checks will be reviewed by the facility, and any ongoing cases will not be accepted. Candidates should expect time-sensitive background checks upon contract signing.
