Job Description We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist who is proficient in operating mills and lathes to produce precision parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining techniques, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain manual mills and lathes to produce parts according to specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs. Select appropriate tools, materials, and machining techniques to achieve desired outcomes. Perform precise measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshooting issues as needed. Ensure all work meets strict quality standards and tolerances. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a Manual Machinist with expertise in operating mills and lathes. Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators). Familiarity with various metals and their properties. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in machining preferred. [Optional: Any specific certifications, e.g., NIMS certification, if desired]. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC machining is a plus but not required. Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
