Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician who takes pride in keeping outdoor spaces, amenities, and community facilities in top shape. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, problem-solving in real time, and working both independently and as part of a team that keeps a large residential community running smoothly.

From parks and playgrounds to ponds, trails, and buildings—you’ll be the person making sure everything stays safe, functional, and looking its best.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair playgrounds monthly and address damage from wear or environmental conditions.
• Inspect ponds, fountains, and debris catchers daily.
• Perform preventative maintenance on street signs and all common area assets.
• Maintain parks, trails, pools, playgrounds, dog parks, landscaping, lighting, buildings, and other community facilities.
• Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs (e.g., leaks, clogs, switches, outlets, bulbs).
• Maintain and repair outdoor surfaces, signage, trails, and landscaped areas.
• Conduct painting and general upkeep of buildings and structures.
• Complete assigned work orders and communicate updates to management.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for community events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Support maintenance staff and Lifestyle Director as needed.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when required.
• Perform other duties in support of the Association’s mission and operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or 2+ years of related maintenance experience; or equivalent combination.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-service focused.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
