FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

HVAC TechnicianKey Responsibilities:Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air handlers, split systems, rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and exhaust fans.Monitor system performance and complete diagnostics to identify and resolve issues efficiently.Adjust system controls and perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency.Respond promptly to service calls related to climate control issues across multiple facilities.Maintain and update maintenance records, service logs, and inspection reports.Ensure HVAC systems are compliant with ASHRAE standards and all applicable local, state, and federal codes.Collaborate with other facilities team members on general building maintenance tasks and emergency repairs.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.Support infection control, air quality, and temperature regulation in patient care areas.Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.Qualifications:HVAC certification (EPA Section 608 Certification required; HVAC journeyman license preferred).Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience, preferably in a healthcare or commercial environment.Strong understanding of HVAC principles, troubleshooting techniques, and control systems.Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.Skilled in safe use of HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high attention to detail.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.Education:High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or technical certification in electrical systems strongly preferred.Valid electrician license or journeyman certification (if applicable in your state) preferred.
