Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with ER experience and at least 1 year in the MRI specialty to perform MRI and X-ray procedures in a hospital setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
• BLS and ARRT MR certification required
• Washington state license required if applicable
• ER experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Pending license accepted
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Proficient in radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
• Skilled in starting peripheral IVs

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based MRI Technologist role within the MRI department
• Performs X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, upper and lower extremities
• MRI scope includes abdomen/pelvis, MRA, female/male pelvis, head and neck, brain, cranial nerves, chest, breast, myocardium, spine (cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, thoracic, spinal trauma), and musculoskeletal imaging (foot, hand, hip, knee, shoulder, long bones, TMJ)
• Cardiac MRI capability with and without contrast
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment
• Epic EMR preferred
• 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with set consecutive nights
• No on-call requirement
• May be required to float between sister facilities within the health system
• First-time travelers will be considered
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
