Overview:
The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we are able to provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Donation Center Attendant to be responsible for all matters pertaining to the operations and security of the donation area.
Duties:
- The Donation Center Attendant will receive and receipt (per policy) all donated material courteously and efficiently.
- Safeguard all donated material and assigned equipment.
- Advise donors of unacceptable materials.
- Maintain neatness and cleanliness of the donation center and surrounding area
- Sort and load trailers.
- The Donation Center Attendant will also be responsible to ensure that no unauthorized personnel enter the Donation Center, that no merchandise is kept, sold or otherwise diverted without direction from Administrator(s)
- Complaints, damage, and unsafe conditions are reported to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
