Position Overview The Recertification Specialist is responsible for managing resident recertifications in accordance with federal, state, and local affordable housing program requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely processing while delivering excellent customer service to residents. Key Responsibilities Process annual and interim resident recertifications accurately and on time Verify income, assets, household composition, and student status Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and other applicable housing program regulations Maintain complete, accurate, and organized resident files Communicate professionally with residents regarding required documentation and deadlines Work closely with property management and compliance teams to resolve discrepancies Enter and update data in property management and compliance software systems Support audits and reviews by ensuring documentation meets program standards Qualifications Prior experience in affordable housing, recertifications, or compliance strongly preferred Knowledge of HUD, Section 8, and/or LIHTC guidelines is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with computer systems and data entry Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Schedule & Compensation Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour Location: Boston, MA 02121 BG Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
