Make a difference with the City of Hutchinson!The Seasonal Golf Maintenance Worker is responsible for assisting with mowing and maintenance of the golf course grounds. There are multiple work schedules and variations within this position.A DAY IN THE LIFE:Performs mowing duties on fairways, greens, tee boxes, rough etc. Operates string trimmers, prunes trees and lays sod and rakes bunkers.Waters greens and other areas by hand. Removes trash and debris from golf course.May perform course set up for daily play and tournaments.May perform maintenance and cleaning in course buildings.May perform painting duties.Operates course equipment including riding mowers, push mowers, handheld equipment, utility vehicles, and other related equipment. Communicate with golfing public in a professional and courteous manner.Direct all questions and concerns to supervisor. WHAT YOU'LL NEED FOR SUCCESS:EDUCATION: No high school diploma or GED requiredLICENSE: A valid Kansas driver's license is requiredOTHER: 4-8 hours a day, flexible. Potential of 5:30 a.m. start time. Will work less than 1,000 hours per season. This is not a KPERS covered position.The City of Hutchinson employs over 400 employees that serve our community every day.
