Role Description
The General Manager at Dairy Joy Lewiston-Auburn oversees day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including staff scheduling, shift leadership, and hands‑on support during busy periods. This on‑site role, based in Lewiston, ME, manages food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards, ensuring the location is guest‑ready at all times. The General Manager is responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of team members, fostering a positive, inclusive work environment. The role includes managing inventory, placing orders, controlling costs, and monitoring sales metrics to meet revenue and profitability goals. Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant, food service, or retail management, with responsibility for staff supervision, scheduling, and daily operations.

- Solid understanding of customer service best practices, with the ability to build guest loyalty and resolve issues calmly and professionally.
- Operational skills in cash handling, basic budgeting, inventory control, ordering, and cost management.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively with ownership and staff.
- High level of reliability, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, seasonal environment.

- Previous experience in quick‑service or ice cream operations is a plus.
