Key Responsibilities

• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and maintain quality control procedures daily.
• Document and take corrective actions when quality control limits are exceeded.
• Analyze patient samples, review results, and correlate findings with previous data to support clinical decisions.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on respiratory equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure accurate patient and specimen identification, including proper labeling and handling of biohazardous materials.
• Participate in proficiency testing programs and adhere to specimen rejection and acceptance guidelines.
• Maintain thorough departmental records and report critical values promptly and accurately.

Education & Experience

Applicants should possess relevant respiratory therapy credentials and demonstrate a strong understanding of respiratory care protocols and equipment operation. Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
