Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Our client, a leading health system in Durango, CO, is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to provide quality patient care and perform high-quality images and exams, acting as a clinical resource and role model for unit personnel.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures including, but not limited to, abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retro peritoneal, small parts and vascular.
• May perform cardiac procedures as required by entity.
• Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA).
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient's condition.

Requirements

• Required**
• High School Diploma/G.E.D
• ARDMS registered RDMS(OB/GYN) or (AB) or (BR); or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT) ARDMS registered RVT(VT) or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT); or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS)
• BLS through American Heart Association
• Preferred**
• Associate's Degree
• Bachelor's Degree
• One (1) year of ultrasound experience
• For the state of UT: LRT

$37.59 - $63.31/hour
