CT Technologist - Weekend

Role: The CT Tech performs diagnostic CT procedures using ionizing radiation, requiring technical expertise, independent judgment, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities: Operates CT equipment to produce high-quality images, ensures patient identification and preparation, reviews images for quality, and follows departmental protocols. Maintains radiation safety, accurately documents procedures, and provides patient education and comfort. Collaborates with care teams, practices infection control, and reports equipment issues. Assists with contrast media administration and stays updated on technological advancements. Also mentors students and other technologists. Qualifications & Skills: ARRT certification, BLS within 60 days, IV competency within 90 days, relevant state licensure, and preferred CT-specific ARRT certification. Requires understanding of anatomy, imaging techniques, contrast protocols, and electronic systems. Demonstrates effective communication, independent functioning, and patient interaction skills. Must be able to lift, move, and assist patients and equipment safely. Key Duties: Maintain competency, operate equipment, ensure safety, document procedures, educate patients, and support clinical teams.
