- Performing thorough patient evaluations, initiating necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting bespoke care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or autonomously (as permitted by your credentials)
- Instructing patients and their families on preventative care, wellness strategies, and disease management
- Prescribing treatments and medications in accordance with your professional scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and management of chronic conditions
- Collaborating seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
- Maintaining meticulous documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within a 90-day period)
- Robust clinical skills coupled with a caring bedside demeanor
- Outstanding communication capabilities with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Flexibility in dynamic, patient-focused settings
- Skilled with EMR systems and comfortable using telehealth tools
