Job Details\n \n Position: ICU Registered Nurse \n Employment Type: Travel Nursing \n Setting: High-acuity Intensive Care Unit \n Shift: 12-hour nights \n Schedule: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend and major holidays may be required \n Hours Per Week: 36 \n Contract Duration: 12 weeks \n Start Date: 07/20/2026 \n Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 \n Location: Mechanicsville, Virginia \n Job Requirements\n \n Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility \n Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required \n 1 year of RN experience required \n BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required \n Ability to read and verify rhythm strips \n Experience with ventilators, sedation, and titrating vasoactive drips/pressors \n Proficiency with lab draws and peripheral IV starts \n Experience with Impella, CRRT, and cardiac surgery patients preferred \n Neuro background preferred \n Must be able to pass an EKG exam at orientation \n Copy of nursing diploma required for point-of-care testing access \n Responsibilities\n \n Provide comprehensive care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU \n Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care \n Monitor hemodynamics and respond quickly to changing patient conditions \n Manage mechanical ventilation and sedation for high-acuity patients \n Titrate vasoactive drips and pressors according to clinical needs \n Perform or assist with lab draws, peripheral IV starts, and bedside clinical procedures \n Support care for complex ICU populations including sepsis, CVA, pneumonia, ARDS, respiratory failure, heart failure, renal failure, overdose, and CIWA \n Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes \n Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control and safety standards \n Deliver calm, compassionate care in a fast-paced critical care setting \n \n Apply now to join this ICU travel nursing opportunity in Mechanicsville, Virginia and make a meaningful impact in critical care.
